The Venue
There are corners of New York where the city seems to hum a little louder—where the past and present sit side by side. Behind a row of bright flags on Lafayette Street stands The Public Theater, a place built on the simple, radical idea that great art should belong to everyone.
Founded by Joseph Papp, The Public has long been a home for new work and bold voices—launching productions like Hamilton and shaping the city’s creative pulse for decades. Just inside to the left, through a set of glowing stage doors, is Joe’s Pub: an intimate, jewel-box cabaret where candlelit tables gather close to the stage.
Artists like Adele, Amy Winehouse, Lady Gaga, Alicia Keys, and Prince have all stood on that stage—sometimes before the spotlight found them, sometimes returning to it. It is the kind of place where something can begin.
It is also where, on the evening of December 12th, our story will take its turn.
Our ceremony and reception will be held at Joe’s Pub, in that same room that has held so many songs, stories, and firsts.Upstairs, we will gather at The Astor—formerly the Library—where we will dine together, celebrate, and, with any luck, linger a little longer than planned over good food and even better company.
After dinner, we’ll make our way back downstairs to Joe’s Pub—where some of our incredibly talented friends will take the stage, and where we’ll spend the rest of the night dancing, celebrating, and making a little music of our own.
To be married in a place like this— where new stories are told, where New York itself feels just a bit closer—is something we feel deeply honored by.
And so, for one winter night in December, we will add our own small moment to a place that has always made room for them.
We cannot wait to share it with you.
